Taiwan’s Small and Medium Enterprise Administration and the Institute for Information Industry announced today the 5-team Taiwanese startup delegation (G Camp) for the upcoming 2020 SXSW Conference & Festivals from March 15-18, 2020 in Austin, Texas (booth #1515). In line with Taiwan's event theme of “future temple,” the Pavilion explores the ideas of cross-industry collaboration, fusion, and mixed experience. The opening ceremony will be held on March 16 at Austin Convention Center.
The pavilion will showcase traditional festivals, pop music, smart agriculture, temples, installation art and other cultural touchpoints to demonstrate the diverse nature of the country’s emerging technologies and thriving startup scene.
Ranging from various verticals, the five startups specializing in IoT, fintech, and AR interactive technologies will present the key applications of artificial intelligence (AI) at the Taiwan Pavilion.
The five participating startups were the finalists of the 3rd G Camp batch, a startup accelerating program organized by Taiwan’s Small and Medium Enterprise Administration and Institute for Information Industry (III) in collaboration with international incubators such as 10X Innovation Lab, a crossborder innovation agency offering entrepreneurial and innovations programs for governments, corporate, and entrepreneurs.
In addition to the 4-day SXSW exhibition, the tailored business matchmaking sessions arranged by the III and 10X Innovation Lab will be a highlight agenda on this mission. Through this immersive experience, the participating Taiwanese startups will have an opportunity to explore investment and partnership options in the region.
